Description

USAID recognizes that local leadership and ownership are essential for fostering sustainable results across its development and humanitarian assistance work and promotes greater local ownership throughout the Program Cycle. In line with this Agency-wide priority, USAID/Vietnam is committed to collaborating with the Government of Vietnam (GVN) and other local stakeholders during the design, procurement, and implementation phases, ultimately aiming for stronger partnerships and greater local ownership.

Building on USAID’s locally-led development framework, USAID/Vietnam and its support contract, USAID Learns, have developed this two-pager that captures specific ideas for how the Mission and its implementing partners could get closer to local leadership during design, procurement, and implementation.
