Exploring Partnerships and Opportunities between USAID and Indigenous Peoples Organizations

Published
Description

Supporting and collaborating with local stakeholders can help acheive more stable and resilient development outcomes. From March to May 2021, the Inclusive Development Hub is hosting a series of virtual sessions titled "Exploring Partnerships and Opportunities between USAID and Indigenous Peoples Organizations." These sessions invite Indigenous Peoples Organizations and networks to help them become more familiar with USAID and with USAID's Policy on Promoting the Rights of Indigenous Peoples (PRO-IP). The policy, which was released in March 2020, "offers guidance for robust engagement and partnership with Indigenous Peoples to help USAID's program align with these communities' own priorities, while also ensuring that [USAID] staff and implementing partners safeguard against unintended impact."
