Description

ACHAP Afya is a three-year, USAID-funded regional program working in Kenya’s Kilifi County and Uganda’s West Nile region. Meaningful community feedback loops and programmatic adaptations based on on-the-ground realities are cornerstones of ACHAP's work. Two examples, including the project's use of health dialogue days to listen and understand community needs and adapt their programmatic approach. In another case, ACHAP adapted their training approach to ensure community health workers had the proficiency to serve the community. ACHAP has achieved significant programmatic and health service delivery results for over 71,000 households in Kenya and Uganda including innovations for improved community health worker performance, community feedback loops, and cost-sharing with local resources.
