Event Description

Join influencers for an interactive day highlighting learning from LEO’s extensive market systems research and practice agenda with USAID – and be part of the discussion on what this means for Feed the Future and the next frontier of market systems approaches in practice.

The day will be filled with up-to-date research, stimulating dialogue, perspectives from both donors and implementers, and innovative approaches. The opening plenary, "Systems Approaches Gain Influence: The Implications for USAID and the Next Phase of its Investments in Global Food Security" will address a timely topic. Morning workshops will focus on practical tools and tactics in the area of systems analysis and systemic change, facilitation, and women's economic empowerment. Afternoon sessions will draw out trends and implications for several key frontier issues in market systems development: wage work and migration, M&E for systems approaches, and resilience and sustainable poverty escapes. The closing plenary will highlight "Elephants in the Room: Dealing with Urbanization, Non-Ag Sectors, Labor Markets, Policy - and other Major Gaps to True Transformation in Market Systems." The full agenda can be viewed here

The opening plenary will be live-streamed for those unable to attend in person.
