Global health practitioners have used the Guide to Monitoring and Evaluating Knowledge Management in Global Health Programs since 2013 to evaluate how knowledge management (KM) activities and tools are effective at supporting global health and development efforts. Published by the Global Health Knowledge Collaborative (GHKC), the guide has now been updated and adapted into a searchable web-based indicator library where global health practitioners can download clearly-defined, measurable, and observable indicators for their M&E needs. The library is user-friendly and designed for both researchers and non-researchers.
Join us for a webinar moderated by Knowledge Management Advisor Beth Head (ASSIST/CCP), and presented by Monitoring and Evaluation Officer Saori Okhubo (Johns Hopkins Center for Communication Programs) and Senior Manager for Knowledge Management Luis Ortiz Echevarria (Management Sciences for Health) as they demonstrate the main components of this new digital resource. The presentation will offer participants an overview of new indicators for measuring learning and adaptation, collaboration and partnership, and forms of social interaction toward improvements in system performance, behavior change, and health and development outcomes.
About Our Presenters
Saori Okhubo is a monitoring and evaluation (M&E) officer for the Knowledge for Health (K4Health) Project led by the Johns Hopkins Center for Communication Programs. Her current research interests include the effect of organizational culture on KM and the measurement of KM capacity strengthening.
Luis Ortiz Echevarria is a Senior Manager for Knowledge Management within the Performance, Learning, and Impact unit at Management Sciences for Health (MSH). His current interests include monitoring and measuring KM and the role of communities of practice in building organization capacity in adaptive management.
