Timely, Concise, and Practical: Lessons From the KDMD Digital Media Strategy

Nov 04, 2013

Cross-posted from USAID's Agrilinks website.

I recently had the opportunity to take a turn in front of the camera and highlight KDMD’s digital strategy in...you guessed it..a video! The KM (Knowledge Management) Insights video series, which I started over a year ago, has become a standard feature in the Agrilinks line up every month. In these videos, the KDMD team, with input from the USAID Agrilinks team, featured thought-provoking experts in the world of KM and asked questions that not only highlighted their processes and objectives, but also their strategic approaches in an effort to pinpoint some of the real factors of KM success. The KM Insights series was not the only digital media product produced by KDMD. The project also produced - across two other knowledge platforms - Video Notes, Greenroom Interviews, Digital Stories, Notes from the Field, Projeqts, and infographics.

In the five short interviews below, you will hear insights from over two and a half years of experience in implementing a digital media strategy with the KDMD project. You will also hear key lessons learned, pitfalls to avoid, and suggestions about where to invest your time and money. On the right hand side under 'Related', you can download the KDMD Digital Media Handbook for more information.
