Webinar technology like Adobe Connect, WebEx and GoToMeeting offer development practitioners new platforms to hold meetings for project teams, working groups and communities of practice, but it can be a struggle to keep participants engaged throughout the meeting.

Join CORE Group and the Knowledge Management Task Force of the TOPS FSN Network for a one-hour workshop that will walk you through some participatory activities for facilitating virtual meetings. Web meetings, for the purposes of this meeting, differ from webinars in their size (of around 8 to 20 participants) and with a greater emphasis on interaction and dialogue among all participants rather than one-way presentation. While many of the lessons covered can be applied across platforms, this event will emphasize some specific features of the Adobe Connect.
